The last few months has been tough to say the least. The demonetisation of the Jester YouTube channel was a serious financial blow that I have not recovered from despite the move to substack cushioning the blow.
It doesn’t dampen my fervour or the urgency of what I do, far from it, but it has made my position precarious to say the least.
Labour are now in charge, for want of a better phrase, and with a majority large enough to get anything they want up and running.
But it was a strange “win” if that is what it was at all, which I frankly doubt, the Tories lost, that is the reality.
With this political turn and the behaviour of Starmer and his cronies, (re-introducing the progress flag lanyards in the civil service is an enormous red flag alongside the appointment of loathsome “Trans” cheerleaders such as Dodds to an equalities position), we are now to all intents and purposes stuck with these mediocrities for the next five or ten years.
Which beggars the question what does this mean for the Warrior Teachers as we move forward, and the wider GC collaboration itself?
I am past the angry rant stage and now at the point of how we effect cultural change, so here is a few ideas to mull over.
Fundamentally at the heart of much of this period is the subject of free speech, and that will be my starting point moving forward.
I see no circumstance barring shouting fire in a theatre, inciting violence or libel that speech should be curtailed. This concept is about to have it’s feet held to the fire as Elon Musk goes to battle with the disgusting authoritarians at the heart of the failed EU project, one which we have thankfully left.
Let me know your thought’s in the comments.
